Can I change my minimum payout threshold?

You may be able to change your minimum payout threshold—the amount of Monero (XMR) you must earn before a service sends it to your wallet. It depends on whether your mining service offers that setting; don’t assume MyAiMiner supports it unless you can see the option in your account or confirm it with support.

Where to look for the setting

Open your mining dashboard and look for Payouts, Wallet, Payments, or Account settings. Your minimum payout threshold may appear beside your unpaid balance or wallet address.

If the setting is available, you will usually need to:

  • Enter a threshold within the service’s allowed range.
  • Save the change.
  • Complete any confirmation step, such as approving an email.

Some mining pools—groups of miners who combine their work and share rewards—manage payout settings separately from the site you use to mine. In that case, follow the instructions your service provides for the pool’s own dashboard.

If you cannot find an editable field, check the payout help page or ask support: “Can I change my payout threshold, and what are the allowed minimum and maximum amounts?” A displayed minimum is not necessarily a setting you can change.

What a lower or higher threshold changes

A lower threshold generally means smaller, more frequent payments. You need to earn less before your balance becomes eligible for a payout. This can help you receive your first payment sooner and leave less money held by the service.

However, you usually cannot set it below the service’s minimum. Small payments may also be less practical if the service deducts a fee from each payout. Check the fee policy rather than assuming payouts are free.

A higher threshold generally means larger, less frequent payments. If there is a fixed fee per payout, this may reduce how often you pay it. The trade-off is that you wait longer and leave more of your earned balance with the service.

Changing this setting does not increase your mining speed or earnings. With browser mining, earnings can be very small, so even a seemingly modest threshold may take a long time to reach.

When your change takes effect

Saving a new threshold does not necessarily trigger an immediate payment. Services may send payments on a schedule or require other payout conditions to be met.

For example, if your unpaid balance is above your newly lowered threshold, it may qualify for the next payout run, rather than being sent immediately. Raising the threshold may postpone future payments, but it might not stop one that is already queued.

Check for:

  • A confirmation that your new threshold was saved.
  • The next scheduled payout time.
  • Any pending payment or temporary security hold.

Once a payment has been sent to the Monero network, changing your threshold cannot cancel or redirect it.

The bottom line

Change your minimum payout threshold only through the official settings your service provides. Choose a lower amount if receiving funds sooner matters most, or a higher amount if fewer payments better suit the fee policy. Never share your wallet’s recovery phrase—the secret words that restore access to your funds—to change a payout setting.
