Why is my pool balance not showing in my wallet?

Your pool balance usually does not show in your Monero wallet because the pool has not sent it yet. A mining pool—a service that combines miners’ work—keeps its own record of what you have earned, while your wallet shows payments recorded on Monero’s blockchain, its shared transaction record.

Your pool balance is not a wallet deposit

Think of your pool balance as an amount the pool owes you, not coins already sitting in your wallet. Your wallet cannot see that internal balance.

On your pool’s dashboard, you may see labels such as:

  • Pending: Earnings that are still waiting for the pool’s checks or for a mined block to become spendable.
  • Unpaid or confirmed: Earnings credited to you but not yet sent.
  • Paid: Earnings the pool says it has sent to your wallet.

These labels are not identical across pools, so check your pool’s definitions. Also check whether the displayed figure is your current unpaid balance or your lifetime earnings. A lifetime total can include payments you already received.

If you mine through a browser service, find out who actually pays you. The service may maintain a separate balance and withdrawal process, even if it uses a mining pool behind the scenes.

Check the payout threshold and schedule

Most traditional pools do not send every tiny reward immediately. They wait until your unpaid balance reaches a payout threshold, the minimum amount needed for a payment.

Look for these details in your account or the pool’s payout rules:

  • Your minimum payout amount.
  • Whether payments run on a schedule.
  • Whether you must request a withdrawal.
  • Any payout fee or temporary payment delay.

Reaching the threshold does not always mean an instant transfer. Your payment may wait for the next scheduled batch.

Mining rewards also have a waiting period: newly mined Monero is locked for 60 blocks, roughly two hours at the average block time. That can delay when a pool makes rewards available. It is separate from the confirmation wait for a normal payment to your wallet.

If the pool says “paid,” trace the payment

Open your payout history and look for a transaction ID, a reference identifying the payment on the blockchain.

Then check:

  1. The destination address. Compare the full address saved with the pool against your wallet’s receiving address or a receiving subaddress you created.
  2. The transaction status. Use a Monero blockchain explorer to see whether the transaction has been included in a block.
  3. Your wallet’s sync status. Your wallet must scan the blockchain to discover incoming payments. Let it finish syncing.

Monero’s privacy means a public explorer cannot simply show every payment to your address or publicly confirm the recipient and amount.

A normal received payment needs 10 confirmations before you can spend it, typically around 20 minutes. Your wallet may show it as pending or locked before then.

The bottom line

An unpaid pool balance will not appear in your wallet until the pool sends it. First check your threshold and payout history; if a payment exists, check the address, transaction status, and wallet sync.

If it is still missing, contact official pool support with the payout details. Never share your wallet’s recovery words or private keys, and do not send extra coins to “unlock” a payout—that is a strong scam warning.
