Are Beelink or Minisforum mini PCs good for Monero mining?

Yes—some Beelink and Minisforum mini PCs can mine Monero reasonably well, especially models with modern AMD Ryzen processors. They are better suited to learning or running a small, low-power setup than earning reliable income, and the exact processor, cooling, and electricity cost matter much more than the brand.

Choose the processor, not the badge

Both brands sell everything from basic office PCs to powerful compact workstations. You should compare the exact model and processor rather than assume that every Beelink or Minisforum performs similarly.

Monero uses RandomX, a mining calculation designed to favor CPUs—the main processors in your computer. A powerful graphics chip is not the main attraction here.

Look for:

  • Enough L3 cache. This is fast memory inside the processor. RandomX needs about 2 MB per active mining thread, meaning each separate stream of mining work.
  • Good sustained performance. A processor’s advertised boost speed is a short-term peak, not necessarily its speed after hours of mining.
  • Adequate system memory. RandomX’s fast mode uses a dataset of about 2,080 MB, plus other memory. An 8 GB machine generally has room for native mining and a basic operating system; 16 GB gives you more breathing space.

Many mobile Ryzen processors have less L3 cache than desktop Ryzen chips. More advertised cores or threads therefore do not automatically mean proportionally more mining performance. Budget Intel N-series models can work for experiments, but their limited resources usually make them poor purchases specifically for mining.

Small cooling systems are the main compromise

A mini PC can feel quick during everyday use yet struggle with a constant mining workload. Mining keeps the CPU busy for long periods, exposing limits that short reviews may miss.

When the processor gets too hot, it slows down to protect itself. This is called thermal throttling. Fans can also become noticeably louder.

Before buying, look for independent tests covering:

  • CPU temperature and speed under a long, continuous load.
  • Fan noise rather than just idle noise.
  • Adjustable CPU power limits.
  • Dust cleaning and fan replacement access.

You may get a better balance by lowering the power limit or using fewer mining threads. Keep the vents clear and leave space around the case. A cabinet full of tightly packed mini PCs is not a shortcut to efficient mining.

Browser mining needs a separate test

A strong native mining result does not guarantee a strong browser result. Native mining software runs directly on your operating system and can use optimizations that a browser may not support.

Browser performance depends on the mining implementation, browser restrictions, and available memory. Background tabs or power-saving settings may interrupt work.

If you plan to use MyAiMiner.com, test your actual browser setup. Do not treat a benchmark from native software as your expected browser speed or earnings.

Check the cost before buying

If you already own the mini PC, experimenting can make sense. Buying one solely for Monero mining is a much harder financial case.

Measure power at the wall, including the power adapter. The processor’s stated wattage is not the whole computer’s electricity use.

Use your measured mining speed and electricity consumption in a live profitability calculator. Allow for pool or service fees and the purchase price. Never trust a seller promising fixed daily earnings.

The bottom line

Beelink and Minisforum mini PCs can be capable Monero hobby miners, but neither brand is automatically the better choice. Prioritize CPU cache, sustained cooling, and measured browser performance—and test a machine you already own before buying one for mining.
